Welcome to our workshop page.
I’m Clarrie Flavell, to be found most days, happily making things in my wonderful workshop. It’s an inspiring and encouraging place to be.
The Blue Earthworm workshop itself was built in 2003/4.
The name arrived with the J.C.B’s...as they scooped out a huge chunk of earth in which to place the footings, fresh soil was revealed, several feet down. The earthworms were noted to be an unusual colour....and I made a throwaway comment about ‘blue’ earthworms.
It is a 20ft x 35ft space; heated with a Rayburn in winter, and beautifully cool on hot summer days. After the latest re-fit (which is nearing completion) we will be able to offer metalworking classes, from basic standard upward.
